The Butterfly Effect: How Your Life Matters by Andy Andrews
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
This was a book I got from my apartment complex as their “Book of the Month.” Overall it was a great reminder that what you do daily matters. I work as a traveling ICU nurse. I see people at highly stressful life events. I don’t always see the results of my actions because of my short term stays in communities. I do have one strong memory. I had an absolutely horribly week. I was so stressed that I couldn’t eat food other than crackers & french fries. So I went in to a local McDonalds & ordered french fries. A woman approached me & stated that I may not remember her, but she remembered me. I had taken care of her father & she just wanted to tell me thank you. As horrible as that week had been, her saying “thank you” turned around that week for me.
