Just in case you were wondering what fanfic I am writing on here lately. My CSI: NY Danny & Lindsay obsession has about run its course now that there is development on screen that I am happy with. Now I am working on a story that is heading toward epic fanfiction. I’m at 4000 words and I have more yet to add. If it keeps growing at this rate it will be a novel in and of itself. It’s in the Twilight universe. I’ve become obsessed not with main characters Bella & Edward, but all the supporting cast. Mainly Carlisle Cullen & Esme Cullen. I find them a very fascinating couple being “Mom & Dad” to a bunch of “teen aged” vampires. Granted Esme was changed at 26 & Carlisle at 23 so they appear close in age to the “kids” who were changed at 17 (Edward), 18 (Rosalie & Bella), 19 (Alice) & 20 (Jasper & Emmett).
I do have some issues with character development in the books. Honestly, I thought the author left Rosalie very flat while giving too much to Alice’s character when some of the traits would fit perfectly with how Rosalie was developing at the time. I’m mainly staying in a time period before the vast majority of the characters join the family. But that presents a new problem. I have to write a time period that I am not familiar with (obviously I am too young to remember the 1920’s). The story is going to be the romance story between Esme & Carlisle. @demonasolace got a bit of a preview at ShadowCon, but I have written lots since then.
