The main thing I am looking forward to on 11 July isn’t the 3G iPhone. Although the speed would be nice. What I want are the apps. And that’s coming to all the iPhones. Even to those of us who waited in line opening day for the first ones. So I had to come up with a list of apps that I want for my iPhone.
1. Evernote http://www.evernote.com
Notetaking service. Although you can photograph written text and search that too. It already has a desktop client for both Mac & Windows as well as a web interface. They already have an iPhone interface for viewing so that leads me to think an app could be an actuality. The desktop clients can be opened while you are offline and will resync when you go back online. This would be handy when you’re out of service on the iPhone.
2. iChat App
I know that AIM has been developed, but I’d like to see a multiservice like iChat or Adium for the iPhone.
3. Bento
I would love to add or modify items in my database while on the go. It may be the least likely to be available, but I would still like to have it.
