Posted @withrepost • @arspoetica.us Agapē is an Ancient Greek word referring to love, the highest form of love/charity. One that is rooted in selflessness and embraces a universal, unconditionality that transcends and persists in spite of circumstance. The word goes as far back as Homer, who translated it as affection, quite literally, as in “greet with affection” others have used the word to denote love of a spouse or family or affection for a particular activity, so on this Christmas Eve, we’d like to extend this sentiment to you all for simply being here.
