The closest I’ve come to playing an MMO is Second Life. All my friends play World Of Warcraft. My brother plays. I don’t. So why did I pick up Aurora Feint which is touted as it WILL BECOME the iPhone‘s first MMO? Honestly I think I picked it up cause I was bored one day. And I’m addicted. It’s not an MMO yet. The puzzles is sort of like Bejeweled where you have to get 3 in a row. But you can only move them horizontally. But you can turn the phone and what was vertical now becomes horizontal, but all the pieces fall to the bottom. I can play this for hours. Literally one night I started with a full battery charge and played until I had 10% of my battery left. You level up by mining. You can purchase spells or blueprints with your power. You learn spells by playing a game at the Tower. You forge items at the Smith from blueprints by playing a game like the Mine, but it is timed and you have to get certain sets.
The community features have caused quite a controversy as they originally sent your contact’s info unencrypted. This caused it for a short time to be pulled from the Apps Store, but they fixed the encryption and the community feature is something that is optional. I actually have never opted in for the community because you had to enter a phone number. The ability to compare scores and character sheets is about the only feature of the friends at the moment.
