TripIt
TripIt announced recently that they are now accepting events and meal reservations for the itinerary at their plans@tripit.com address. Several event sites have been added including the ever popular Upcoming.org and Eventful.com. Now I’ve had an Upcoming.org account for a while but I rarely use it.
I had tried the event thing with TicketMaster reservations a while back when that was practically the only site supported, but I haven’t tried anything else. I had purchased tickets to the Braves game and it had the venue address & seat numbers correct. They had the event name as something else, but I submitted it as a correction.
Reservations made from opentable.com are supposed to be supported now, as well. I just wish we could make reservations ahead for like TGI Friday’s or Applebee’s, you know, the cheaper places.
Evernote
Evernote is now in public beta. So, you no longer need an invitation to the service. Combine it with Jott and you can leave yourself a note to remember something and I found out my bright idea had been thought of and reported on lifehacker and even mentioned on the Evernote blog itself. I guess I should read these things.
Zemata
Zemata is an extension for Firefox for Internet Explorer to assist you with blogging. It also has plug-ins for Hosted WordPress and Movable Type blogs. It works on WordPress, Blogger, Type Pad, Live Journal and Movable Type blogs.
What does it do? It allows you to easily add links, photos, and tags to your posts by suggesting based on what text you wrote, it seems to be quite handy and can even list books from Amazon.com with your associate ID. I’ve had trouble with it quits working every time I install an update but reinstalling the extension seems to correct it.
All-in-all, I like it and probably will continue to use it for sometime.
