You all know how I love my tech toys. As I discovered during my contract negotiations I have to deal with many different people on the phone. Some work for the same company. Some do not. Sometimes I’m talking to recruiters from different companies. It does not help that how I have the phone service set up (it’s to protect my mobile telephone number from all the people I’m talking to) through GrandCentral I have to dial at the website or through their mobile website. Which sucks when you’re not at home. Or at least somewhere with a decent wifi connection. And I can’t remember who I’ve talked to and when and about what. So I’m trying out Highrise which is from the same people who did Backpack.
Basically it’s a contact management system, but I can group them in “Cases” My current case is the current hospital I’m contracted to work. I have my recruitment team & the people I initially had to speak with from the hospital.
It also finally occurred to me to add the GrandCentral address book webpage that belongs to the contact so I can click and go straight into the page so I can call them easily.
Plus I can add to do items. Such as under my recruiter I can add the Task “Call tomorrow re: touch base about contract renewal.” The search is pretty good about finding people in the list of contacts I’ve added.
