I just watched “Full Metal Jacket” (Warner Home Video). I remember a friend of mine when we were late elementary/early high school aged absolutely loved this film. My parents would never would let me watch it because of the rating. Mitzi was a Vietnam war buff and I would not have been surprised if she had joined the Marine Corp after graduation. I was a war buff too, but my interest was the American Civil War.
Kinda the funny thing is she’s the one with 2 kids, a dog, and a husband who’s a part time minister. Today, I’m the one who’d be more likely to be in a war zone. However, I’d be there as a nurse to treat the injured.
I didn’t really enjoy the film that much. But I was kinda surprised to find Adam Baldwin in it. I didn’t know when I put the DVD on the list that he was in it. He is simply known as Animal Mother. Which is a strange nickname to me.
Had a bunch of my audiobooks requested tonight off of Bookins and BookMooch. So that makes less stuffs to pack up or get rid of.
