Instapaper
http://www.instapaper.com
This is something I discovered relatively recently from TechCrunch and I’ve enjoyed it. It’s kinda a bookmarking service, but it’s simpler. I still use del.icio.us for my main bookmarks and links to share. Del.icio.us is the stuff I want to keep. Instapaper is stuff I want to read later. Cause life gets busy and I can’t always read everything right now. So I have a link in Firefox that states simply “Read Later.” I click it and it adds it to my Instapaper. When I’ve got time, I go visit Instapaper and click on something I haven’t read yet that I would like to read. It send me to that link and it moves it automatically to the Recently Read column. It only keeps 5 items in the recently read so I have to either click again on the Read Later button if I didn’t finish something or go back to the page and click on the Mark Unread button before I read 5 more items. I mainly use it for the Fanfiction I am reading or longer blog posts. Things I want to have time to read later.
I love that I don’t have to manually go through and remove them. I’ve seen people in the comment on a few blogs talk about Google Notebook & browser bookmarks & del.icio.us bookmarks and my only problem is once you’ve read it you have to manually clear them out. Very tedious. I’d just rather use Instapaper at the moment.
