Okay so I went to look on TV.com for NCIS quotes. They have Season 4’s 1st epsiode & title up. It is titled “Shalom”. Which leads me to Ziva David and the only way to bring Gibbs back. While he gave the rest of the team encouragement when he left.
to DiNozzo: “You’ll do. it’s your team now”
to McGee: “You’re a good agent. Don’t let him tell you otherwise”
to Abby: a fatherly kiss
to Ziva: “I owe you Ziva.”
Ziva: “I’ll collect Jethro”
So the only logical conclusion is Ziva is the one who will bring him back to the team. And with the title of the first episode being Shalom and her being Moussad it sort of goes together. Shalom is the word for peace, but it’s also used for both Hello & Goodbye. I just hope they don’t kill off Ziva. I really enjoy her.
