Boo is in big trouble. We had the windows open since it was so hot yesterday. I had a raging headache as a side effect from the small pox vaccine. I took my migrane meds and laid down. Well I awoke at 2 am. I saw Ceasar, but not Boo. Well I rattled the Treats can. Ceasar came but not Boo. I checked under the bed. He wasn’t there. I checked inside the cat carrier. He wasn’t there. I was starting to get really worried. I called who was on his way home from work. I told him Boo was missing and I’d checked the usual hiding places. I told him I was about to try outside. I took the treat can with me along with my cell phone. I checked the bush directly underneath the window and then was going to check next to the stairs. To me that seemed the most logical place for a 7 mo kitten to hunker down against the wind. pulled up in the street out side the apartment and honked the horn. He had spotted Boo underneath the bush underneath the window. Apparently the sound of me shaking the treats and calling his name had awoken him from where he had hidden. As I pick him up, an ambulance comes by (I live in the most direct route from the interstate exit to the local level 1 trauma center). He starts freaking out in my arms. had to unlock the front door of the building for me. Boo was still trying to freak out so I took the stairs instead of the slow elevator. I could hardly get the apartment door open because Boo kept trying to get down. I finally get him inside and let him loose. He looked around. Realized that he was home and started acting like himself. He even went to the window that was stilll open and stuck his head out. I pulled him back and shut the windows. The little brat. He half gives me a heart attack and then he acts if he had this grand adventure.
